Job Description

General Equipment & Supply is currently searching for a Chief Financial Officer in our equipment, tool sales and rental environment who is Eager, Enthusiastic, and Extraordinary.

Responsibilities:

· Manages day to day accounting, GL, AP/AR, working capital, annual audit, risk management, and complete financial reporting and control.

· Manages budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to leadership team.

· Acts as a key member of the senior management team, participating in strategic and tactical discussions, playing a leadership role in evaluating major agreements, vendor relationships or acquisitions

· Manages cash and debt, tax compliance and reporting.

· Oversees bank reporting and communication for multiple accounts.

· Assures standardization of reporting across the business, integrity of consolidation and compliance with all policies, procedures, and internal controls.

· Provides daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to management.

· Identifies systems and procedures that can improve operations, financial reporting, analytics and performance monitoring.

· Ensures that growth initiatives are pursued in the context of an approved budget, with specific and well-defined metrics and targets

· Work closely with Chief Operating Officer to determine best options for health, general liability, WC, etc, policies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Excellent management and supervisory skills

· Excellent analytical and organizational skills

· Proficient in QuickBooks

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education and Requirements:

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance. Master's Degree preferred.

Eight to ten years of experience in financial management.

Five years hands-on experience managing multiple daily cash transactions for a small business.

CPA, preferred.

License/Certification:

  • CPA (Preferred)
