Urgent Care Provider NP/PA Job at COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER OF CAPE COD
Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to lead busy walk-in outpatient clinic The provider will triage and treat acute urgent illnesses, along with COVID-19 triage assessment and testing.
Additional Duties:
- Interview patients prior to examination to obtain a thorough history including current medical problem, past medical and surgical history, family and social history.
- Perform general and focused physical examinations including heart, head and neck, pulmonary, chest, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, genitourinary and other routine exams.
- Order or execute various tests, analyses and/or diagnostic images to provide information on patients condition. Determine the type of care or community service the patient will need.
- Identify physical and emotional illnesses through observations, analysis of patient charts, analysis of diagnostic tests and prior medical, hospital or other health care as needed.
- Analyze reports and findings of tests and examination.
- Administer or prescribes appropriate treatments and medications as indicated as well as follow up on any labs or imaging ordered.
- Flexibility to assist with Primary care needs of current Health Center Patients
- Five years of experience as a Physicians Assistant/Nurse Practitioner, preferably in an Urgent Care Setting
- Experienced working with underserved populations as well as Bi-lingual skills a strong plus
