Sapphire's in Goose Creek is a locally-owned and operated bar and grill that has been open for 17 years. We have a solid customer base and a solid menu with a solid football following. With over 30 TVs, outdoor seating, daily food specials, and the coldest beer in Goose Creek (if not Charleston), we are busier than ever and need to bring on more servers and bartenders.

Serving shifts vary and can vary depending on the candidate and their skill level. During the week there is only one server on the floor during the lunch shift so candidate must be able to handle high volume and also be reliable as they are the only server and there isn't another one scheduled. Sunday-Thursday night there are only two servers scheduled, and Fridays and some Saturdays there are three servers scheduled. We cannot stress enough that whoever we hire must be able to handle high volume, especially on Friday lunches, nights and Sundays during the events/parties we host, our monthly brunch and market, and during football season (we are THE Packer bar of SC). There is no hostess or busser to tip out. While everyone wants to be a bartender, it has always worked best in the past and in everyone's best interest to train as a server first and get to know the menu and bar inside and out while building trust and rapport with the owner and regulars before training on the bar. We make a lot of shots so bartenders need to be quick and efficient with a good memory to store all the shot recipes. Due to the size of the bar, we do not have a manager on duty at all times and the bartender acts as the manager when the owners are not there so we need to get to know you before handing over the keys and codes to the building.

This is an insanely good job for the person who is reliable and moves with a sense of urgency. The sidework is minimal compared to sidework at most places and you don't have to worry about tourists or having to pay for parking like you do downtown or at the beach.

In an ideal world, we would hire someone with availability Friday-Tuesday. Would ideally like 2-3 of those shifts to be bartending shifts and the others serving shifts. If you are unavailable or unwilling to work within those days, or only have Wednesday and Thursday availability, we won't be able to work with you.
