JOB PURPOSE:

To assist the Director of Sales & Business Development in the management, coordination and execution of items related to the marketing and sales operation of the hotel. Responsible for the management and solicitation of designated markets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Plan, direct, organize and control departmental activities such as telemarketing, outside sales calls, conducting walking tours, entertaining clients, developing and soliciting new leads, presenting and preparing written proposals and contracts. Focus on conference center sales.
  • Communicates with guests and team members both verbally and in writing to answer questions and provide clear direction in advising and instructing staff in details of work.
  • Gather, organize and disseminate both written and verbal information regarding the specific requirements of client s events to the appropriate departments and individual clients in a prompt, accurate, profitable, pleasant, and professional manner.
  • Develops target lists and action plans for account solicitation.
  • Provides guidance in prospecting and qualifying potential leads.
  • Organize and/or attend scheduled Sales, Revenue and other related meetings.
  • Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics that inspire team members to meet and exceed standards and promote team member empowerment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

High school graduate or equivalent required.

Minimum of 4-year college degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

2+ years prior hospitality experience preferred.
