La French Academy recrute des profs de français (FLE: Français Langue étrangère) pour des cours en personne à Washington DC (ou aux alentours) . Il s'agit de cours de groupe avec des adultes, ou des enfants de tout niveau (débutant à avancé), ou des cours individuels.

Candidates’ profile:

• Native French Speaker (perfect oral and written skills) with work permit or green card or US citizen. Please send cover letter IN FRENCH.
• Educated (graduate school level at least).
• Experienced with teaching a language (at least 1 year experience) in full immersion.
• Must have a laptop (computer) and be familiar with Internet resources, Skype, Zoom, word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.
• Must be well structured, friendly and have great pedagogical skills.
• Knowledge of modern teaching methods (standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, action-based methods, immersion and participative methods, etc.) and materials.
• Degree in teaching a language is a plus (DUFLE, master in FLE).
• Experience as a school teacher for children is a plus for our children’s classes.

Availabilities:

• The most requested availabilities are twice or 3 times a week in the evenings Monday to Thursday (generally 1.5h between 5:30-9pm) and on Saturdays (9-12pm or 1:30-3pm), Sometimes early morning (8-9:30am).
• Classes are 1 or 1.5h long. So you may have only 1.5h class in the evening (from 6 to 7:30pm) or on Saturdays. But you can have 2 classes one after the other (from 6 to 9pm).

Lessons can take place at students' places or in the offices of our partners anywhere in the DC region (DC, Arlington, Alexandria, Silverspring, Bethesda), or

• At our locations:
• In the evenings or Saturdays at 1629 K str Washington DC - metro Farragut.
• On Saturday morning on Western Avenue in Chevy Chase DC - metro Friendship Heights (kids classes).
• Possibly also in Alexandria (Tue or Thur evening or Sunday morning)
