Counselor Job at Pfeiffer University
The counselor will counsel students on a variety of mental health concerns.
This is a full-time, exempt, 11-month position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling services including clinical services (intake, individual, couples, group, and emergency/crisis counseling).
- Consult with faculty, staff, and students concerning student needs.
- Maintain current knowledge of theory, practice, and ethics within the counseling profession through professional development opportunities.
- Design an implement outreach and intervention programs as needed.
- Develop and present workshops for student needs on a variety of subjects.
- Supervise work-study students and interns.
- Interest in college students and helping them navigate the college experience.
- Sense of humor, strong work ethic, and outstanding communication skills are desired.
The environment is in a professional office setting with frequent interaction with students, faculty, and staff.
Master's degree in counseling.- Eligible for state licensure.
- Experience in a college counseling setting desired.
