An Hyde Park condominium high-rise community with 369 units is hiring for a full time Helper A. Schedule for the position would be: Monday-Tuesday 3PM-11:30 PM; Wednesday 9AM-5PM and Saturday-Sunday 8AM-4:30PM; must be available for overtime when needed. Starting salary for Helper A would be up to $23.68/hr.

The Helper A candidate must be able to work independently on work orders. Completion of the 2-year apprentice program is preferred. The ideal candidate would have a positive and hardworking attitude.

The job will consist of, but is not limited to the following:

· Completion of work orders for residents of the building and ability to properly diagnose and resolve issues that arise in individual units and the building.

· Familiar with plumbing, plastering/painting, electrical, etc.

· Complete all janitorial tasks as follows, but not limited to: clean all common areas, including hallways, stairwells, garage, lobby, mailroom, elevators, laundry room, fitness rooms, sundeck, sidewalks, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

· Removal of snow and winterization during the winter months.

· Assist building engineer and onsite management with projects as assigned and needed.

· Able to handle emergency situations with minimal supervision when onsite management is not present, or able to call the proper personnel as needed.

· Communication with the rest of the staff as well as building management to ensure all work orders and additional tasks are performed in a timely and orderly fashion. Properly managing time throughout the day.

Education:

High school diploma or GED equivalent. Basic reading, writing and verbal communication skills necessary to complete tasks and work independently.

Experience:
Work history with experience in hospitality or residential property industries preferred.

Physical Requirements: These positions demand good mental and physical health. Successful candidates must be able to lift packages and equipment up to 50 pounds.
