JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Associate (Material Handler) is a vital member of the warehouse team, who is tasked with loading and unloading shipments, ensuring inventory counts are accurate and up to date, as well as the creation and completion of essential documentation.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Repack damaged freight
• Perform monthly inventory and physically count and verify piece counts
• Housekeeping of warehouse & I-House
• Coordinate UPS pick-ups
• Assemble & pack orders
• Complete a monthly inventory log on storage accounts
• Build consolidations and create manifest for shipments moving northbound
• Check goods for damages, confirm piece count, review documentation, and sign for goods received
• Weigh and dimensionalize freight (UPS and airfreight)
• Load/unload trailers and trucks daily

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills
• Proper loading and trailer weight distribution
• Proper lifting techniques
• Ability to stage freight, plan loads, and load/off-load trailers
• Hazardous material knowledge is an asset
• Knowledge of basic shipping requirements
• Ability to use a pallet jack and a hand cart
• Certified forklift driver
