VP, Workplace Field Deployment Services

As the VP, Workplace Field Deployment Services, you will lead the overall activities of Zones Professional and Technical Services service delivery teams. You will drive growth, revenue and profitability as well as deliver 5-star service to our customers. You have a strong leadership background in the Professional and Technical services as well as experience in project management, services delivery, field operations, operations management, staff development, Service Delivery partner management and thought leadership associated with delivering world-class Services to new and existing customers.

The key areas of responsibility involve leading our Workplace Deployments for our customers and focused on optimal resource utilization, maintaining staff industry/OEM certifications and maximizing overall revenue and profit contribution of the organization. This role will report directly to the SVP, Chief Delivery Officer and have multiple direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

The VP, Workplace Field Deployment is primarily responsible for:

  • Oversight of the Project Management Office - Staff executing on ad-hoc Projects for customers in multiple industry related to Hardware Deployments, IMACS and other IT related services
  • Oversight of the Client Program Managers – Lead individuals that have Direct Service Delivery, P&L, and Client relationship responsibilities for Key customers
  • Oversight of Field Operations – Lead National team responsible for the Field technicians and the Field Business office providing Hardware Break/Fix, Install/Move/Change and Deployments for multiple customers and industries in the US
  • Responsible for growing the professional and technology solutions and service business while increasing overall profit margins for all Enterprise and midmarket customers.
  • Align to and participate with pre-sales and sales to drive strategies that create solutions and services growth with existing and new customers
  • Develop clear objectives consistent with corporate goals for nationwide staff and deploy sound go-to-market processes and programs which will ultimately drive significant increases in services revenue and solution sales
  • Integrate and align teams with the presales organization to uncover new opportunities and develop and implement creative revenue-generating approaches within target markets
  • Maximize and measure customer satisfaction, develop extensive relationships with current customers and Zones Delivery Partners and seek additional service opportunities, that strengthen customer relationships
  • Ensure the department is operated profitably and take necessary short and long-term actions to optimize the organization’s return on investment

Customer Responsibilities

  • Establish and cultivate a solid working relationship with customers through building relationships with C-level Leaders, IT Directors, IT Managers within SMB and Enterprise environments.
  • Lead, collaborate and participate with Sales and Solutions team(s) on customer sales calls, services estimates and sales / customer strategies with C suite level.
  • Lead effort to educate sales teams and customers about Zones solutions offerings and capabilities.
  • Ensure Team is conducting face-to-face customer loyalty meetings for top services customers.
  • Establish and cultivate solid working relationships with all internal customers Professional Services Leaders, Solutions Teams, Recruiters, Regional Directors, and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Establish and cultivate a solid working relationship with 3rd Party Service Delivery Partner Leaders

We are seeking candidates with the following experience and skills

  • An undergraduate technical degree is required; an MBA or professional post-graduate degree is desirable
  • 15 + years Leadership experience in the technology/application domain Skills (IT, Admin., managerial, executive)
  • 10+ years’ experience in leading a multi-Client ITO organization providing Professional Services for Onsite Deployments and Rollouts
  • Proven record of accomplishment in building and growing services revenues (i.e., multi-hundred $million), while continuing to improve operational excellence (high utilization, full rate realization, meeting margin targets, focus on quality, customer satisfaction, etc.) and managing a full P&L
  • Successful track record of building and managing a high-performance team that has built successful and profitable consultative relationships with key influencers in companies spanning a broad array of industries
  • Proven track record of personally selling and managing large-scale, services projects to the C-Suite level of executives
  • Excellent strategy development and problem-solving skills as well as business development focus and experience (e.g., relative to new products, services and go-to-market approaches), while possessing a broad level of technology understanding and substantial operational and financial acumen
  • Ability to line up Services to Sales for joint-, cross- and up-selling and work closely to develop relationships both internally and externally
  • Experience working in matrix organizations and an appreciation of how the dynamics of growth affect corporate culture and in-place processes and systems. This includes experience planning for resources that meet the growth requirements of the business in rapidly changing environments along with strategies and programs that are flexible, dynamic and agile
  • Ability to drive strong services revenue growth and profitability at scale
  • Be a goal-oriented, driven individual with a superior ability to execute and sustain a high sense of urgency
  • Be well organized with good delegation skills
  • Possess excellent oral, presentation and written communications skills, as well as the interpersonal and leadership skills necessary to motivate a team
  • Be comfortable and conversant in enterprise applications technology
  • Be articulate and confident, with a presence and stature that will help maintain and build the Zones brand and position in the marketplace
  • Deep experience with system engineering for Mid-market / Commercial and global/enterprise systems integrations work and partner strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate between the business and technical domains of an IT implementation project, providing leadership in both
  • Experienced in partner strategies and execution against a plan to build out partner eco system.
  • Must have experience in dealing with leading OEM manufacturers HP, Cisco, Dell, EMC, NetApp and other partners

Compensation:

  • Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $220,000 - $250,000, this role is eligible for bonus compensation.
  • Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Washington area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
