SERVICE DISPATCHER II

Location: Dover, DE

How you'll help us succeed:

Dispatch work and coordinate technicians for the area in which they are assigned. Review and close necessary documentation and update all files associated with daily work performed. Clear and concise communications with supervisors, employees, and customers regarding scheduling and emergencies.

What you'll be working on....


  • Prepare and organize work orders for the technicians to complete
  • Process orders from previous day’s work and make ready for other departments
  • Update Utilicis with all pertinent information
  • Dispatch all incoming orders as soon as possible , to prevent dangerous situations and inefficiencies
  • Send out all PMC/ISP notifications requiring customer contact, keep dates of which such tools have been sent out, update the required spreadsheets that pertain to Periodic Meter Changes (PMC)/Maryland sampling program (ISP)
  • Complete all reports i.e.: Leak survey report, Call out report, Incomplete order report
  • Update all required spreadsheets
  • Sort work for the next business day
  • Schedule meter install as required
  • Issue Paint and Other Meter Orders request by various Departments
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Check and respond to voice/emails left overnight
  • Scan in Service Tech Log Sheet
  • Provide proactive communication to areas related to resources and workload
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to interact with other team members
  • Effectively manage resources and prioritize workload to meet daily requirements
  • Conducts duties in a manner that will promote good customer relations and teamwork

Who you are...

  • Understanding of business procedures and accounting principles.
  • Proficient in the use of standard business software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows).
  • Demonstrate sound communication, business judgement, decision making skills and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a diverse work group/environment.
