General Purpose:

As a Senior Sales Manager, your primary responsibility will be to increase group business in the state of Tennessee, promoting Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort as the ideal destination for corporate retreats, conferences, and group events. This can be a remote position, specifically available for candidates residing in Tennessee.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive group business growth in Tennessee. Identify target markets, develop sales plans, and execute initiatives to achieve sales goals and increase market share.

2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients in Tennessee. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their requirements. Provide exceptional customer service and be the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales process.

3. Prospecting and Lead Generation: Conduct thorough market research and identify potential clients and organizations in Tennessee that could benefit from hosting their events at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort. Actively prospect and generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, industry associations, and referrals.

4. Sales Presentations and Negotiations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, showcasing the unique features and benefits of Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort. Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements while maximizing revenue opportunities.

5. Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborate closely with internal departments, including the marketing team, event planning team, and resort management, to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of exceptional service to clients. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment and contribute to the overall success of the sales team.

6. Sales Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, including client information, sales activities, and revenue projections. Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and make informed strategic decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or Senior Sales Executive in the hospitality or tourism industry.
  • Strong understanding of the Tennessee market, including key industries, corporate organizations, and event planning agencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events.

Basic Required Skills:

  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • May be required: to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands:

  • Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems.
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 5 hours per day. Walking and standing are required the rest of the working day. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
  • Must be able to exert a well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 25-50 lbs. as needed.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
