The Atlantic Medical Imaging Vascular Institute is seeking full time Schedulers to join the team in the Neptune office location!

The responsibilities of the Vascular Institute Scheduler include, but are not limited to:

  • Schedules procedures and testing for patients, coordinating date and time, and special procedure needs;
  • Gathers patient and procedure information;
  • Prepares and distributes schedules and works closely with physicians and office administration to schedule and maximizes utilization of time;
  • Oversees the registration and checkout process and the handling of medical records to assure efficient flow of patients through the office;
  • Performs all medical receptionist duties, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, filing information into medical records, checking patients in and out, collecting co-pays and fees from patients and completing computer and paperwork associated with these functions;
  • Requests medical records and performs chart preparation to provide physician with all information needed for visit prior to the actual exam, evaluation, procedure, or treatment. Prints minimal medical records information needed from electronic record if chart is not available; and
  • Any other duties as assigned.


This full time, 40 hour per week position is based in the Neptune office location and includes a work schedule of Monday-Friday, with available shift times of 8am-4:30pm and 8:30am-5pm. The position will also provide coverage in the Brick, Eatontown, and Toms River Vascular locations if needed. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous 2-3 years of experience working in a procedure or surgical scheduling role, or other medical office setting is required. Insurance knowledge is a plus. Candidates must have proficient computer skills and knowledge.


The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, with the ability to function in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision. To be successful in this position, candidates must have strong organizational and analytical skills. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette, are necessary for this role.
