Role Overview

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for supporting the Sales Team and customers by identifying their needs and providing product, service, or equipment technical information by answering questions and requests. Assist the Sales Team in relieving tasks that take away from potential selling time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand technical product and service requirements.
  • Process work orders, checklists, contracts, CRM requirements, and other tasks associated with the sales process.
  • Ability to assist in the organization of installation and support activities of accounts.
  • Responsible for working with Sales Team and advising customers and potential customers on the best product fit for their business model needs.
  • Prepares cost estimates by reviewing sales proposals, checklists, and other related customer documents and consulting with other technical resources within the organization and with different vendors.
  • Ability to partner with Sales Team to assess current product offerings to determine systems requirements for customer inquiries and, when appropriate, to facilitate the upsell of other UAS products and services.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Must have a general understanding of all types of Fire Alarms and Low Voltage systems with a minimum of 3 to 5 years in the industry.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams with minimum guidance.
  • Strong analytical ability to solve programs and ability to learn quickly.

Work Requirements:
The position is considered sedentary and requires extended periods of PC exposure.
