Position Summary

Family owned and operated in the Rockford community for over 60 years, Collier RV has an immediate opening for a Lot Porter/Detailer to join the Service team. As a lot porter, you would be responsible for moving RVs (motorhomes, trailers, and fifth wheels) around on the lot and in and out of the shop. As cleaner/detailer, you would be responsible for cleaning RVs inside and out. This is a new hybrid position combining both lot porter and detailer into one position.

Job Responsibilities

• Move and park RV units in a timely fashion.
• Keeps lot clean and professional in appearance by sweeping, picking up trash and debris, and emptying garbage cans.
• Keeps RV units and other equipment secure from weather.
• Maintains a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.
• Clean RVs inside and outside
• Washing windows and carpets
• Dusting furniture and trim work
• Clean/sanitize all kitchen and bathroom surfaces
• Prep RV for customer purchase and showroom floor
• Sand and paint frames and steps
• Operate steam cleaner and shampoo machine
• Pressure wash exteriors on occasion
• Weekly office cleaning
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by service manager

Job Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record. (Required)
• High school diploma or equivalent. (Required)
• Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment on occasion.
• Walking/Standing/Bending 8+ hours daily. (Frequent sitting and standing; occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch).
• Able to lift 50 lbs consistently and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Experience towing vehicles.
• Experience driving an RV.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Dependability
• Attention to detail is a must-have
• Self-directed initiative, ability to apply oneself with limited supervision to see a job through in a timely manner.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
