Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for delivering on five key principles: Branch Risk Management, Retail Policy and Procedure, Branch Support, Leadership and Associate Development and Project implementations. Key tasks focus on performing branch audits, supporting internal controls, defining and supporting Retail Policy and Procedures and providing support to branches regarding procedure execution. This role partners with Retail Management to perform a variety of specialized and complex activities with regards to branch operations and customer service.

Job Duties:

  • Exercise judgement and provide feedback to Retail questions through ROS hotline, direct line, and email while adhering to policies, procedures and core values.
  • Monitor and assist with resolution of Retail risk results (Audit, Internal control, CIP, etc.)
  • Assist with Retail Operations initiatives including but not limited to: retail system changes, retail policies, procedures, processes, operational efficiencies and PEBO corporate projects (including acquisition support and system implementations).
  • Complete multiple documentation efforts such as agendas, content and recaps for meetings and trainings and policies and procedures for Retail Operating Standards and Retail News.
  • Will plan, lead and facilitate required meetings in-person, online/zoom/webinar and video. Must be able to energize and lead audience participants.
  • Weekly duties include: branch audits, branch cash counts, pin pad installations, cash recycler machine installations, and vault operating changes.
  • Complete pre-work for upcoming branch audits that are scheduled for following week.
  • Participate in branch visits (not limited to audits) including implementation training for new retail procedures.
  • Partner with other departments to cross-train and or assist with training.
  • Maintain the online Retail Standard Operating Procedures by ensuring information is accurate and updated timely.
  • Serve as back-up assistance to Retail Operations Administrator for completing Regulation CC hold reviews and documentation, decision (approve or decline) customer Power of Attorney documentation and communicate results and perform other key administrator functions.
  • Assist Regional Managers with identifying and or resolving issues.
  • Perform as the liaison with retail, other departments, and outside agencies/vendors.
  • Significant travel (including over-night stays) required on a regular basis throughout company footprint.

Education, Job Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in related banking field
  • Phone skills (ability to troubleshoot and talk to employees through problems or customer issues over the phone) and maintain a professional demeanor
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced and challenging environment with close attention to detail and accuracy while meeting daily deadlines.
  • Proven team player, ability to both coach others and to be coached
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with limited supervisory assistance
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • PC literacy, effective with use of MS Office Word and Excel
  • Must be a decision-maker with well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Previous supervisory or management experience (1-3 years) required or substantial experience in an individual contributor role preferred
  • Solid understanding of competition and operational concerns in the marketplace and the industry
  • Ability to work with multiple individuals within the organization and across all levels
  • Working knowledge of the Retail Bank policy and procedures, including knowledge of legal based banking procedures across all PEBO states for trusts, POAs, guardianships, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours required
  • Valid Driver’s license required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent branch banking work experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in related banking field
  • Valid Driver’s license required
