Job Summary

The entry level Project Manager will assist in the selection of projects to bid and various special projects, collecting and interpreting data, creating, updating, and modifying drawings. This position will be responsible for answering correspondence and deal with a diverse group of important external callers and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload The candidate will work closely with Business Development Managers, Engineering and Operations teams to determine optimal project approach.

Job Responsibilities

  • Research local, state and federal bid databases for contract opportunities.
  • Complete and submit subcontractor prequalification documents needed for commercial projects.
  • Receive, review and direct forms necessary in submitting and receiving submittals and approvals for projects.
  • Research and sort project leads.
  • Perform project take-offs and gather data required to assemble a complete and professional quote to the client for Griffin services.
  • Receive and answer inquiries received via the internet, phone and other means.
  • Coordinate with local, state and federal agencies.
  • Develop construction project with architect, engineers, and trade workers
  • Compile and plan budget, cost estimates, and other financial estimates
  • Reviews project drawings and specifications to assist in determining dewatering and water treatment needs.
  • Assists all teams as necessary to create quality design documents.
  • The position requires an individual that is capable of working with sales, engineering, operations, and other management entities to meet a diversified set of demands.
  • Timing and deadlines must be a focus and being able to work on a team and foster collaboration is very important.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and speak in English.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-placement drug screen and satisfactory background check.


Preferred Experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree or completion of a technical trade school in Engineering, Geology or Construction, or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.


Physical Demands


This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.


Pay Range

  • Based Upon Experience.


Travel


  • Up to 50%
