General

The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for all purchasing, with the exception of third party rentals.

Duties

Create purchase orders for work and/or parts.

Coordinate services to be done on equipment with the Fleet Manager. Ensuring all required parts and equipment are available for use.

Procure all required fluid for equipment ensuring appropriate fluid usage at competitive pricing. Coordinate fluid sampling program.

Coordinate all shipping, securing items in proper locations and proper loading/unloading of trucks.

Manage inventory control, ensuring items are recorded per the in/out process and secured. Report any discrepancies to the Fleet Manager.

Analyze work orders for trends, abuse and theft.

Process all purchasing needs for the maintenance and shop areas ensuring vendor compliance and cost effectiveness.

Analyze pricing ensuring quoted prices are equal to billed prices.

Negotiate pricing with vendors. Maintain relationships to guarantee the best possible service.

Position Details

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Status: Full-time

Amount of Travel Required: 0%

Reports to: Inventory and Procurement Manager

Direct Reports: None

Work Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. However, due to the nature of the business, weekend and evening hours may be necessary on occasion.

Skills & Abilities

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent job experience

Experience: 3+ years in procurement and inventory control related work history

Other Requirements: Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
