Job Title: PLC Software Engineer
Location: Valencia, CA

Responsibilities

• Programming, testing, start-up, troubleshooting, and field service support for wet process equipment

Required Skills

• PLC programming and testing, with emphasis on Siemens PLCs (Step 7 and Portal TIA)

− Ladder logic and STL design

− Motion control

− Digital networking

− Hardware configurations, discrete and analog

− Installation procedures

− Electrical motor commissioning

− Documentation

• Computer knowledge and proficiency with Windows and MS Office

Preferred Skills

• Emphasis on Siemens PLCs (Step 7 and Portal TIA)

− Function, object, and data block in ladder logic and SCL design

− Technology motion control, Profinet, and analog interface

− Profibus networking

− Hardware configurations DI, DQ, AI, and AQ

− Installation procedures

− Electrical motor commissioning

− Documentation

• HMI programming and testing, with emphasis on Wonderware InTouch

− Screen design

− Tagname configuration

− DA server interface

− Scripting

− Import/export .csv Files

− Historical data management

− Recipe manager

• Cobot programming and testing, with emphasis on Universal robots & Kuka robots

− Motion profiles

− Interface configurations Digital and Profinet

• Ability to read and interpret instruction manuals, electrical schematics, and P&IDs

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or similar field
• At least two years’ experience in software development (NCGs who meet this requirement are encouraged to apply)
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong team player and willing to learn new technologies
• Some travel required (domestic and international)
