The Payroll clerk is responsible for providing support for payroll in our corporate office located in Fairbanks, Alaska. Duties include administrative, processing, technical, and reporting functions of payroll and employee benefits . Prefer candidate with prior experience in accounting/payroll processing using Sage 100 or similar program.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university OR high school diploma with equivalent experience
Minimum Qualifications Requirements:
- Ability to work 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday
- Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Ability to identify and fix financial discrepancies
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and pay high attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective organizational skills; detailed oriented
- Excellent problem-solving skills and possess good judgement
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
- Must be able to pass required background screening and drug screening
