LDF is looking for a Dynamic and Experienced Advanced Sales Representative for Sazerac Malts. This Team Member will report into the Tulsa Distribution Center and have a passion for selling Sazerac Malts. The ideal candidate will be innovative and self-motivated with an entrepreneur, business oriented and customer focused mindset. This position works under general supervision as an outside salesperson who sells their Sazerac Malts to meet company and account objectives by implementing strategies and tactics while maximizing profitable long-term growth for both.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Lead all parts of the sales process including targeting appropriate accounts, lead selling, education and positioning brands for success within the account


Achieves sales and distribution goals as defined in the monthly sales plan


Monitor field implementation and execution of programs within assigned accounts to ensure execution of displays, product pricing / features and promotions


Ensures that all sales practices are in accordance with regulations and rules as defined by the state and federal governing bodies regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages


Regularly and consistently pre-plan account visits with an agenda, service purpose, and selling opportunities documented in VIP Karma


Conducts staff trainings and create, coordinate, and attend on-site promotional functions at established customer accounts to include but not limited to liquor store samplings and promotions, product launches, supplier product dinners


Provide required / designated tracking reports of wholesaler performance against agreed-to supplier objectives


Work with brand and chain managers to deliver monthly goals (distribution, supplier work-withs, product training samples, etc.)


Visit accounts regularly, capture visit notes, and build visit plans considering previous visit outcomes and document in VIP Karma


Manage customer issue resolution, seek additional opportunities to support customers’ needs, and support business growth by providing customers with useful information and guidance


Document and maintain account and customer specific information in VIP Karma


Maintain deep knowledge of LDE products and correctly present and position them in each account


Reports market trends and competitive activity and recommends marketing or sales response if appropriate.


Maintains open communication with all accounts regarding product availability and pricing.


Build positive, credible, lasting customer relationships based on trust that deliver measurable results


Communicates promotions, new account ideas and inventory needs.


Adheres to all established check-in/check-out procedures and policies.


Assures compliance with quality assurance standards and procedures.


Safeguards all assigned company assets from theft, abuse or loss.


Follows company and supplier product handling, delivery and storage procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.


Operates Company vehicle according to Fleet Safety Manual to include reporting any vehicle accident immediately to supervisor and follow the LDF accident policy as outlined therein.


Additional duties as requested by the VP of Sales, Brand Management, Chain Account Managers and Area Sales Manager.


Qualifications:
Completion of company sales training program. Basic word processing, spreadsheet, database management and computer skills are required. Have an understanding of basic office functions and decorum. Possess in-depth knowledge of company products, policies, procedures and operations. In-depth knowledge of every brand and package sold and benefits of each product. Have knowledge of state and federal laws regarding the sale of alcohol. Practice grooming and hygiene practices consistent with maintaining good customer relations.

Education/Experience:
College degree or equivalent. Supplier training seminars and formal professional sales training preferred.

Language Ability:
Excellent sales skills and ability. Requires interpersonal skills adequate to communicate with, develop rapport, influence and persuade customers. Possess the ability to articulate information or problems to management.

Math Ability
: Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measures, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, as well as a knowledge of trade math to include margin and profitability calculations.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to make quick independent decisions.

Certificates and Licenses:
ABLE Permit (Oklahoma) or like credentials depending on state requirements for the selling products containing alcohol. Valid drivers’ license with a clean driving record.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None

Work Environment:
Driving company vehicle and on customer premises Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. to approximately 6:00 p.m. Schedule is flexible depending on completion of duties and customer requirements.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger to effectively use data sourcing and desktop computing for selling efforts, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to drive a motor vehicle. Position requires standing, walking, kneeling, bending, pushing/pulling, and routine lifting/carrying of 26-50 lbs. Individual must be physically capable of moving product into and out of customer's establishments - occasionally in large volumes in a relatively short period of time. Employee is exposed to outside weather conditions while moving into and out of customer premises.
