The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following for a long-term position in the Orange, Texas area:

HVAC TECHNICIAN
4 / 10'S

Successful candidates will have a minimum of three (3) years of continuous and current experience as a state registered HVAC Technician in a industrial or manufacturing environment.

HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation and/or service and repair of industrial, commercial, and residential environmental control systems such as refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning systems and equipment. Tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, priorities, and objectives of the plant operations. EPA refrigeration certifications are required. Strong computer skills and SAP experience a plus.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to:

• Performing skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection
• Preventive maintenance, repair, installation and alteration of equipment, including:

• Winter controls
• Window units
• 1.5 ton – 80-ton package and split units
• Pneumatic controls
• Digital microprocessors
• Johnson, Carrier, Train, as well as others

The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all time. This positions requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe, efficient manner. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required. All qualified applicants must be craft certified or possess the ability to pass a craft test, as well as the ability to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen and other qualifications as required.
