REPORTS TO: Assistant Director of Physical Plant Services

DESCRIPTION:

40 hours per week

12 Months

5:30a-2:00p

Rate per contract

STARTING DATE: Immediately

COMPENSATION BENEFITS: Pursuant to the AFSCME bargaining unit agreement.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position is responsible for operating a variety of automotive equipment including plows, dump trucks, front-end loaders, turf and tree trimming maintenance equipment including chain saws. The individual will perform tasks associated with site maintenance, truck driving, moving equipment and spraying pesticides and herbicides.

This position requires an individual with a minimum of four years experience in landscape and grounds maintenance. The individual must possess a state sprayer’s license, CDL license with an approved driving record, and will be subject to random drug tests. In addition, they must have the ability to operate all types of grounds equipment. This position also requires a self-starter with a good attendance record.
