Job Description – Global Trade Compliance Assistant

The Export/Import Compliance Analyst must have the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment involving frequent interaction with all department, including, but not limited to Shipping, Purchasing, Marketing and Sales personnel, Project Managers, Engineers, Freight Forwarders and be able to communicate effectively, both oral and written.
The Export/Import Compliance Analyst is responsible for assisting the Global Trade Compliance Officer and EO in the development, implementation and upkeeping of the company’s Import and Export Compliance Program & Roadmap relating to U.S. and foreign laws and regulations. These laws regulations includes, but not limited to, the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Foreign Trade Regulations, and the various sanctions and embargo regulations promulgated by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
Required Education, skills and desirable Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline
- 1-2 years of export / import or logistics experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced knowledge of EAR, OFAC, US Customs, FCC, Foreign Trade, ITAR laws and regulations
- ECCN and HTS (Harmonized Traffic Schedule) classification skills
- Detail oriented
- Proficient communication skills
- Able to prioritize and multi-task
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Goal oriented
- Meeting deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- ERP Experience
