Primary Purpose
The role of the Food Service Substitute is to work within a team to prepare and serve appropriate quanties of food to meet requirements and maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation and safety practices.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
Current Food Handler's permit
Special Knowledge/Skills
Basic computer skills
Ability to work with others as a team
Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
Ability to read and write
Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
Knowledge of food service line set-up and temperature requirements
Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards
Willingness to learn
Experience
One year experience in a cafeteria preferred
