Nature and Scope:
The Food Pantry Service Representative will ensure that families in need receive food items from the pantry. Food pantry team will work to unpack, sort and pack food once a week. The Food Pantry Service Representative must be available Saturdays, 8:00am – 12:30pm.

Minimum Requirements:
- Exemplify YMCA ideals, leadership qualities
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, problem solve and possess effective time management skills
- Strong customer service skills and personal commitment to service and hospitality
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Responsibilities:

Ability to understand and follow safety procedures and guidelines established by food bank.

Carry out program tasks related directly to the position's scope and responsibility.

Maintain cleanliness of pantry.

Ensure pantry is secure and orderly day-to-day

Effectively build relationships with members and guests.

Create a welcoming environment for members and guests.

Assist as needed in all aspects of the YMCA and its community.

Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Bending, stooping, standing, lift up to 40 pounds.
