Applus Technologies, Inc., a leader in the vehicle testing industry, is seeking experienced candidates for our Field Service Technician role based in Murray.

This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, supporting and auditing the Utah Analyzer System emission testing equipment and related peripherals used in Utah Motor Vehicle Emissions Inspection Programs. Specific duties include:

• Professionally responding to service calls from authorized facilities participating in the Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program in Salt Lake and Weber counties.
• Troubleshooting and repairing the emissions testing workstation and related analytical components.
• Performing periodic compliance audits and/or preventative maintenance tasks following set schedules using the approved Quality Assurance / Quality Control Plan to ensure testing accuracy and consistency and minimize equipment downtime ensuring complete compliance with the US EPA specifications.

Qualifications include:

• Two years preventative maintenance, service and repair techniques/procedures in a technical environment along with electrical, mechanical and electronics repair skills and knowledge of data communication protocols/processes
• Familiarity with a variety of test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, etc.
• A strong service and teamwork orientation and the ability to work in a fast paced environment requiring the potential candidate to multitask
• Ability to interface effectively with all levels of company and with supply vendors, state and test center representatives and strong verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stoop, bend, reach and climb
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
