Novelis in Uhrichsville, OH has an opportunity to participate in our on-site summer internship. The team is seeking an EHS intern that can join the team. Novelis internship program will began on May 22, 2023 and will last for 12 weeks, with an end date on August 11, 2023. This will be a project-based hands-on experience. The person in this role will have the opportunity to participate in meaningful work and gain hands on industry experience. The person in this role will report the EHS Manger and will be gaining experience EHS projects. Responsibilities & Qualifications:

- Provide direct support to the plant staff
- Perform or assure that all daily, weekly, monthly, or other periodic HSE inspections
- Compile information and prepare various HSE reports
- Audit and maintain systems to ensure compliance with all applicable environmental programs of facilities
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an accredited 4 year University
- Must obtain the classification Junior or Senior
- interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills which are essential for interacting with all levels of the organization
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer students majoring in Occupational Safety and Health or related fields
- Solid business acumen
- High interest in becoming an engineering leader in a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills

The rolling mill cold rolls aluminum sheet to a desired gauge anneals to temper levels and slits the rolled sheet to size.
