Job Description
SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing support and assistance for the Department Supervisor. Provide timely quality service by applying a thorough knowledge of the trust accounting system as well as procedures to facilitate the daily needs of clients.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

1. Establishes and maintains complete knowledge of trust accounting system. Sets up accounts, retrieves data and knows the system requirements for adding and removing assets; establishes recurring transactions and maintain tax information.

2. Communicates with clients. Possess the ability to answer routine inquiries and evaluates the legal, ethical, and practical implications of complying with requests for information, cash or assets.

3. Handles daily posting of transactions, reconciling accounts, making distributions, ACH, wire transfers, etc.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES

  • Performs general administrative duties in the areas of mail, correspondence and record keeping.
  • Assist in new business development activities.
  • Establish and maintain business and professional community contacts to enhance business opportunities.
  • Dresses Professionally.
  • Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
  • Performs other duties as requested by Manager.

Education and Work Experience

  • Minimum 3 years trust experience or comparable training such as paralegal degree and/or experience in trust operations with significant knowledge of trust management rules and regulations.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong analytical and math skills
  • Excellent communication skills.

Technical/Functional Competencies

  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently on multiple projects while meeting established deadlines. Must have the ability to work under pressure and have a strong sense of urgency.
  • Possess oral and written skills to communicate with all Management levels.
  • Willing to go the extra mile for the team (i.e. willing to stay late if necessary)
  • Must possess a high level of interpersonal skills.
