Job Description


AECOM is currently seeking a Document Control Specialist to develop products and deliverables for flood studies in support of FEMA Risk MAP (Risk Mapping, Assessment, and Planning) activities nationwide.

The selected candidate will support teams of Engineering, Mapping and administrative professionals, both locally and nationally, towards the successful completion of a variety of FEMA Risk MAP projects.

Responsibilities & Skills include:

  • Prioritizing their day-to-day tasks with support from other members of the team.

  • Create, review, format, edit, update and manage documents and spreadsheets to ensure their accuracy, integrity and quality.

  • Conduct the day-to-day production of Post-Preliminary Processing products and deliverables.

  • Collaborate with manager and internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of documentation requirements, including deadlines and deliverables.

  • Meeting and exceeding quality expectations.

  • The ideal candidate will have strong analytic and people skills, be a strong team player, and pay great attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient typing, editing and data organization skills

  • Ability to multi-task and attention to detail

  • Ability to learn and quickly assimilate new information

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat tools


Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and/or experience in FEMA MT-1 Processing Services, LOMA, CLOMA, LOMR-F AND CLOMR-F requests is a plus.

  • Ability to understand general engineering documents is a plus

  • Willing to obtain Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification.
