The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people, and big ideas needed so that no one worries about where their next meal is coming from. Since 1979, we’ve provided food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters, and senior centers. We currently serve more than 700 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

About the Role:

The Data Analyst supports the diagnostic needs of the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s internal stakeholders by analyzing hunger-related data and metrics. This role will work closely with but not limited to the development and marketing team. This role is closely tied to food bank initiatives. While working collaboratively to assist the team in meeting our business goals, this position gathers and monitors the organization’s key metrics and provides insights into the hunger gap and brand performance data.

You also enjoy the challenge of grasping and deciphering complex data schema while leveraging your analytical skills to drive strategic thought and effective decision-making.

What You’ll Do:

Organizational Data Process & Analysis

  • Assist in the development of our data strategy and data framework

  • Develop processes to ensure analytical insights can be incorporated into key decision making

  • Create holistic team dashboards that provide insights and visualization into marketing/brand performance relative to KPIs, projections, and historical performance by pulling data from different data sources to help inform business decisions

  • Manage data pulls of varying sizes and complexity to support business requests

  • Assist with data automation projects to improve the efficiency and accuracy of reporting and analytics

  • Proactively identify opportunities for growth and competitive advantage for our organization

Analytics, Mapping & Research

  • Work closely with respective team members from various disciplines within the organization to optimize and coordinate strategies

  • Analyze online marketing data and research studies to provide insight into the performance of our websites, online/interactive marketing programs, and overall brand performance in a market to enhance web measurement strategy

  • Prepare clear and accurate maps using ArcGIS software and additional data sources - these deliverables include demographic analysis, publishing mapping, multivariable heat maps, commutation analysis, and aerial maps

  • Responsible for the creation, analysis, production, and distribution of geospatial information

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

What You’ll Need: Skills and Experience your resume should demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated work designing analytical models and data visualizations

  • Proficient in data exploration, data manipulation, and data transformation with large datasets

  • Must have strong knowledge of databases, entities, attributes, and database object relationships

  • Proficient in understanding and using dimensional and relational data models for query

  • Hands-on experience analyzing consumer and financial data and identifying solutions to a business problem

  • Confidence in the ability to systemize tasks and improve processes

  • Must have strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to set goals and execute under tight timelines

  • Possess good working knowledge with Python, SQL, SQL Server, and PowerApps

Even Better if You Have:

  • Expertise in working with Google Analytics and/or other web analytics tools

  • Experience with GIS (or similar mapping platform)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Graph API and/or resting APIs

  • Experience with Crystal Reports, Tableau, Power BI, and or SQL Server

  • Experience with BI/data visualization, CRM, and campaign management

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint
