  • Premiums:
    • Weekend Premium 2.00

    • Lead Premium 3.25
    • Per Diem Premium 15% (on rate of pay, in lieu of benefits)
    • Certification Premium 2.00


JOB SUMMARY:

The OMCC Customer Service Representative performs tasks necessary to promote efficient departmental functions and operations. This position is responsible for providing the following services, including but not limited to excellent customer service, optimal utilization of Epic (EHR) with timely and accurate data entry into multiple computer systems, patient registration, patient scheduling, verifying insurance coverage and obtaining authorization for services, filing and disposition of medical records/requested images, triaging phone calls, and acting as a liaison between the referring physician, staff, patient, and insurance companies. The customer service representative provides backup coverage for other clerical staff in their absence.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required Experience
Minimum one year of related experience in an outpatient medical facility preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

      • Vacation – Beginning accrual equivalent to 14 days per year for a full-time employee. Pro-rated for part-time employees. Employees may begin using vacation after completing 1040 benefit hours. Accrual rate increases with years of service. Refer to your Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for details.
