Bakery Assistant Job at Champlain Orchards Inc.
Assists in production of apple pies, turnovers and other bakery/value added items. Assists in stocking the Farm Market with apple pies, turnovers and other homemade seasonal food items.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Bake under Bakery Manager’s supervision.
- Prepare Value-Added products under Bakery Manager’s supervision.
- Perform prep work tasks under the Manager’s supervision.
- Assist in preparing all bakery items for shipping.
- Ensures all areas of the work space are kept organized and clean.
- Mixes ingredients and bakery products according to company recipes.
The position requires an individual who has a passion for learning new skills. Food production experience is preferred.
The individual must be able to stand for long periods of time; be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stack and maneuver objects; and must tolerate working around large cooking appliances.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour
