BREAD BAKER
POSITION: The Bread Baker is responsible for from-scratch production of all yeast-side baked goods, including hearth breads, rolls, pan loaves, and pastries. The individual in this role must work with a strong attention to detail and capable of working unsupervised. Experience in hand-crafted bread and pastry production, and the use of baker’s math is necessary.
SHIFTS: 40-50 hours per week depending upon needs of business. Start times are 6pm, 12am, or 3am. One weekend day each week is required, and your regular schedule will include two days off in a row. Pay is based upon New York industry standards and individual offers will be based upon a candidate’s qualifications.
DAILY DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Executes all areas of production as trained and directed by the team.
- Uses baker’s math to read and adjust formulas.
- Possesses current food safety certificate required by the Suffolk County Department of Health and adheres to all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Adheres to company expectations of punctuality.
