Sarah Flint is looking for a motivated Assistant Boutique Manager to play an integral part in laying the foundation for our growing Retail business. The Assistant Boutique Manager partners with and supports the Boutique Manager in all aspects of store functions and will assume oversight of the boutique in the Manager’s absence. You'll engage with customers, have a hand in process ideation and improvement, and you'll directly impact the success of our company. The ideal candidate demonstrates an active management presence on the sales floor, modeling exceptional service and ensuring all team members embody the Sarah Flint spirit.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Sales Management
  • Successfully lead the team on the sales floor and support in floor coverage by demonstrating and providing superior service to every client, every day
  • Effectively manage sales staff toward achievement of sales and clienteling objectives; monitor daily KPIs and sales results; set daily goals during morning briefs
  • Participate in the coordination of sales promotion activities, which include seasonal sales, trunk shows, contests, including proper use of in-store signs advertising sales and promotions
  • Propose challenges to the team to motivate them to reach their targets
  • Identify business opportunities and implement the related actions to achieve your store’s goals.
  • You will support accountability for developing the business and monitoring your store’s budget.
  • Assist Boutique Manager in all event planning, coordination, orchestration and execution

People Management
  • Train, coach, develop, and lead sales associates in elevating their selling skills by leveraging fluency in product, service, and brand knowledge
  • Conduct and/or participate in regular store meetings to discuss performance, sales training, product knowledge, merchandising, and to convey other necessary information to management staff and associates
  • Assist with new hire on-boarding and ongoing training
  • Build team spirit and an atmosphere that encourages performance and initiatives
  • Value/reward performance and manage underperformance with constant feedback
  • Facilitate questions or concerns from your team regarding company goals and focus

Operations
  • Manage boutique operations effectively including attendance, visual merchandising, and housekeeping standards
  • Establish and maintain an organized and controlled stock storage system
  • Act as operations lead for communicating inventory and supply needs, receiving and checking in inventory, shipping and receiving and damages, return to warehouse, etc.
  • Key part in annual inventory reporting with partnership from the HQ team
  • Help solve problems that affect the department’s service, efficiency, and productivity
  • Open and close the store
  • Lead by example in terms of presentation and grooming. Make sure the team is constantly representing the Brand (uniform policy, grooming guidelines, etc.)
  • Communicate to the Head Office team qualitative and proactive feedback on products & visual merchandising to drive results

Client Management
  • Assist with creating a culture of service; provide a unique and memorable in store and after sales experience to every client, every day and at every point of sale
  • Uphold an omni-channel mindset to directly benefit the client, producing a seamless experience from in-store to online and vice versa
  • Capture meaningful customer data for the purpose of building relationships to personalize future client development opportunities
  • Train and empower the team to develop customer loyalty and recruit and retain new clients through personalized relationships. Responsible for making sure each customer has an assigned sales associate and that client outreach is consistent.
