Youth Care Worker Job at Good Samaritan Boys Ranch
Position Summary: Responsible for the daycare of the residents. Is part of a treatment team that guides and maintains the therapeutic milieu of the Ranch. The area of focus is on the group. The person holding this position must have a commitment to empowering others to solve their own problems and be able to nurture the family as the ideal environment for a person.
The employee in this position will demonstrate a conviction concerning the capacity of people to grow and change.
The employee in this position must demonstrate the ability to establish a respectful relationship with persons served to help them gain skills and confidence.
The employee must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with other personnel, service providers, and professionals.
They must also demonstrate the capacity to maintain a helping role and intervene appropriately to meet the service goals of the resident and the resident’s family. Appropriate interventions include the ability to set and maintain appropriate behavioral limits
