Yard Technician Essential Functions

• Safely load and unload equipment.
• Accurately prepare shipping documents in a timely manner.
• Organize and maintain machine keys.
• Maintain the status of equipment in the yard.
• Maintain an orderly organization of equipment and attachments.
• Clean, wash and make ready equipment using the wash bay.

Yard Technician Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Six (6) months of experience in a related position
• Communicate effectively in the English language - speaking, reading, writing
• Knowledge and ability to operate heavy construction equipment experience preferred
• Basic mechanical knowledge related to heavy industrial construction equipment

Yard Technician Physical Requirements

• Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead.
• Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold and/or wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors.
• Physical ability to climb on and climb off heavy equipment.
• Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition.
