Our WorkSource Administrators are responsible for the growth and development of relationships within our partnerships that include government agencies, the business sector, and community-based organizations and service groups. This work enhances the area's economy and community support for agency services, programs and operations.

Some of what you will do:
- Support and implement local policies, practices and procedures that result in fiscal responsibility and accountability, including appropriate use of resources.
- Assess business needs to effectively use budget allocations and make recommendations for additional budget needs for staff and non-personal services.
- Select, hire, train, and mentor staff, including ensuring staff have job descriptions, expectations, and evaluations according to Employment Connections strategic goals and objectives. Our current goals are centered in supporting our staff, increasing our focus on equity, boosting customer service, and innovating and adapting.
- Establish and model a performance-driven work environment that fosters and rewards excellent customer service, individual accountability, attainment of results, quality-focused business practices, teamwork, sponsorship, and partnership.
- Develop a sustainable approach to continuously gather and include our customer’s input and feedback to support an ongoing quality improvement process is in place to help our services better reflect the needs of our customers and communities.
- Use your creativity and critical thinking to work towards continuously improving our processes; quality service and performance; and the elimination of waste.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with workforce development and community-based providers to assure customer access to needed resources and services.
- Use Human Centered Design and Change Management to continually evaluate value of service to the customer, assess service gaps and adjust service delivery offerings accordingly.
- You lead others by example and build strong relationships with your teammates and stakeholders by communicating consistently and with transparency.
- You inspire others by relying on their perspectives and developing their skills to be future leaders and influencers.
- You have the ability to set clear and reasonable expectations and positively influence others.

- You have strong follow-through and can keep track of various methods of correspondence at once.
- You have experience directing or participating in writing program grants, proposals, and contracts and are able to manage procurement and contracting.

- You also know how and when to delegate tasks to your team to optimize workflow.

- You have the ability quickly synthesize information and keep the big picture in focus while translating that information into easily digestible and actionable next steps for your teammates.
- You keep performance goals in perspective and actively work to identify trends and characteristics influencing operational or performance outcomes.
Fiscal management
- You effectively safeguard agency financial resources by consistently following applicable fiscal guidelines, regulations, principles, and standards. This may be demonstrated by professional working experience monitoring expenditures in support of a program.
Comfort with technology
- You have experience with Microsoft Word, excel and outlook.
- You have a demonstrated ability to learn and utilize new software applications
- A combination of education and experience managing and/or supervising staff in a diverse, multi-functional, customer-focused service delivery environment totaling no less than nine (9) years.
Must have knowledge of:
- Strategic and operational business planning principles and processes and performance outcomes measurement. Understands the business environment, appropriate management and use of technology, and possess the ability to interact with partners, stakeholders and customers in strategic planning and problem solving.
- National, community service, employment services, training, and/or social services programs. Demonstrated knowledge of general and/or program-related state and federal laws, policies, rules, and regulations.
Additional Requirement of Employment:
- Must be able to pass an Unemployment Insurance (UI) Claim & Benefit Information Review.
- Ability to travel on a daily basis.
- Per Gov. Inslee’s Directive 22-13.1, employees of the Washington State Employment Security Department (ESD) must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after the final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine series. As a condition of employment, ESD employees are required to provide proof of vaccination before starting work. A medical or religious exemption may be requested for accommodation.
