Whiskey Ambassador - High West (Wanship) Job at Constellation Brands
Job Description
A Whiskey Ambassador at High West contributes to the High West Experience by confidently sharing our product and company story to all tour guests. This position creates High West Missionaries by communicating a passion for whiskey, High West history, our people and all venues.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for knowing location history of all three High West Venues: Saloon, Nelson Cottage, and the Refectory.
- Familiarity and demonstrated repeatable knowledge of all High West Products
- Knowledge of High West Brand’s History
- Ability to guide tours at all three High West Venues
- Ability to lead off-premise tastings.
- Flexibility to perform multiple responsibilities depending on the specific needs of the day or requests of the restaurant’s Assistant General Manager.
- Willingness to work varied schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Constant commitment to high quality customer service.
Minimum Requirements
- Passion for Whiskey
- Desire to continue learning about High West products and greater whiskey category.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver 5-star Hospitality to guests.
- Built positive relationships with co-workers.
- Confidence speaking in front of guests and answering questions.
- Minimum of 3 months working at one of our High West venues
Minimum Requirements
- 3-5+ years’ experience in the industry
- 2-3 years’ experience in customer service, tourism, museums, or entertainment
- Demonstrated ability to deliver 5-star Hospitality to guests
- Built positive relationships with co-workers
- Confidence speaking in front of guests and answering questions
Preferred Qualifications
- High level of knowledge of the High West’s story
- Certifications from Bourbon Steward, WSET, CMS or other beverage related organizations a plus
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Work Environment:
- Works outdoors/indoors
- Works in warm/cold climates
- Works in high places
- Works on wet surfaces
- Is exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals
- Works near moving, mechanical parts and lift truck traffic
- Must be able to move up to 55 lbs
- Primary office environment may be tasting room/barrel room (For Hospitality Roles)
Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods. Lifting may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
