Job Summary
The Warehouse Worker will safely perform all elements of the PlantHouse warehouse operations including shipping/receiving, quality assurance and store order fulfillment requests. In this role, you will be responsible for safely loading/unloading trucks, receiving vendor goods into the warehouse for future distribution to our Planthouse store locations; quality checks and accurate product placement within the facility. Internal advancement with PlantHouse is available as the company continues to scale, including Warehouse Lead and Analysis positions in the Supply department

This role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Monday - Friday
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Area of Expectations & Responsibilities:

• Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.
• Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.
• Reviews shipments for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy.
• Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.
• Transports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids).
• When problems arise, resolves issues with contractors or vendors.
• Validates, approves, and forwards invoices to accounting department.
• Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma/Equivalent | Preferred Associates Degree
• Ability to multitask and work long hours while on your feet
• Familiarity with all aspects of warehouse operations
• Positive attitude
• Ability to adapt to change
• Work well with others
• 1+ Years Warehouse experience
• Forklift Certification
• Experience in retail fulfillment (internal)

Operations:

• Accountability - Ability to report on time for work daily, and perform required tasks as assigned
• Attention to detail - Thorough understanding of processes and procedures, with a focus on excellence in the details
• Appreciation for quality – Willingness to perform job duties with honor, with a commitment to outstanding customer service
• Communication – Effective communication with other warehouse team members as well as warehouse management regarding all safety concerns and equipment issues
• Collaboration– Work closely with the warehouse leadership team including store associates to promote a positive experience for all warehouse visitors

Job Setting & Physical Demands*
This position is primarily in a covered warehouse but may require work within an indoor office environment for administrative duties, which may require the use of computers and standard office equipment. Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language is required. Position requires long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, climbing, and twisting on a regular basis to fulfill essential duties. Candidate must have the ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility, including but not limited to operating the forklift. Employee must have the ability to lift 50 pounds unaided.
