Performs any combination of the following tasks to receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within the store. Reads customer order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed. Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas by hand, hand truck, pallet jack or forklift. Sorts and places material or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Accurately checks in and receives merchandise into computer system. Operates office equipment, such as computer, printer, fax machine, calculator, tablet and scan gun. Prepares parcels for mailing. Marks materials with identifying information. Opens bales, crates and other containers, using hand tools. Records amount of material received or distributed. Weighs or counts items for distribution within the store to ensure conformance to company standards. May maintain inventory records and provide assistance on the sales floor when needed. May perform outdoor maintenance duties.

Advise customers on tools, hardware, and materials needed, and explains proper procedure to compltet task customer wishes to perform. informs customer about quality of products and equipment, answers customer questions and may demonstrate use of products. performs related duties, such as estimating quantity of merchandise or recieves merchandise selected by customer. Records items on invoice, totals bills and escorts customer to cashier stand for checkout. May deliver and load order to customer vehicle. May examine defective articles returned by customer to determine if refund or replacement should be made. Operates office machines, such as computer, printer, fax machine and calculator. Stock shelves, counters or tables. May prepare inventory of stock and order merchandise. Peforms other duties as assigned by management.
