Maverick Boat Group is looking for a Warehouse Manager. This position directly oversees the company’s storage and distribution operations. Primary focus on internal customers to support the Production floor. Requires daily management of resources to support team and departmental KPIs. Leads strategic efforts to improve current system and support scaling plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess resources to scale the warehouse operations to support 2 physical locations including inventory management (receiving, put away, pulling, picking, stocking, and kitting) and logistics execution.
  • Establish department key performance indicators (KPIs), actively monitor execution of KPIs and maintain KPIs. Report on KPIs to management team.
  • Communicate and set priorities with other departments to ensure parts (tagged and kitted) are delivered on time and in full (OTIF).
  • Actively lead warehousing activities in compliance with company policies and vision.
  • Develop and maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution procedures.
  • Capable of making recommendations to improve process effectiveness and efficiency through continuous improvement (CI). Familiarize and lead team on change management and systemic tools including DMAIC analyses, PDCA cycle, and 5 whys where applicable to achieve consistent and lasting results.
  • Supervise warehouse personnel, monitor workplace performance, and lead training initiatives.
  • Responsible for chalk talk’s and safety communications to team. Driving awareness of safety and promoting safe practices.
  • Main contributor to assisting and executing physical inventories together with team. Including management of resources, accuracy in counting and practices, and turnaround times.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to optimize on hand inventory and the development of a Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough knowledge of all Maverick-brand purchased parts and products.
  • Stay informed on the latest industry best practices in warehouse and distribution functions.
  • All other duties as assigned by Director of Procurement.
  • BA/BS degree in Purchasing/Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, Materials Manufacturing or Business Management preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of warehousing and distribution, order fulfillment processes in manufacturing and change management experience required.
  • Scaling experience preferred.
  • Sku management and barcoding hardware/software experience preferred.
  • 5+ years managerial experience required.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Experience operating in ERP environments preferred with materials requirements planning (MRP) knowledge and warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meetings, remote setups, supplier portal management and tracking.

Physical Demands:

  • If/when required, lifting, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling
  • Light lifting, <25 pounds

Work Environment:

  • Warehouse environment with office and computer work
  • If outside work, able to handle dusty work environment
  • If outside work, able to handle the heat (especially during the Florida summertime)

Work Requirements:

  • Weekends as required and/or as projects dictate (sometimes on short notice)
  • Overnight travel as required, <10%
