Inventory Control Lead

Monday - Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Job Description

  • Lead efforts to increase inventory accuracy and control by partnering with key stakeholders
  • Supervises and trains Inventory Control and Receiving personnel
  • Identifies and brings resolution to issues impacting Supply Chain and Production
  • Coordinates and manages physical cycle counts, as needed to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Conducts regular inventory analysis to solve inventory related issues
  • Ensures product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand
  • Monitors, analyzes and reports demand and documents inventory characteristics
  • Collaborates with others to ensure business goals are achieved
  • Initiates and carries out projects that improve inventory blend to compliment program and business goals
  • Maintain product identification and location program
  • Research inventory discrepancies and conduct Root Cause Analysis on inventory discrepancies
  • Responsible for completing physical inventories/cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations.
  • Track and report non-conforming product
  • Communicate and Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
  • Document damaged product
  • Ensure VMI count is accurate
  • Comply with all company policies, rules, guidelines, and behavior expectations
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
  • Present weekly reports on cycle count status
  • Any other tasks assigned by the manager

Skills Required

  • 3-5 years warehouse experience doing inventory counts/cycle counts
  • Detail oriented with accurate counting skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Accustomed to a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled at multi-tasking with computers and computer software (Syteline, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word)

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High School Diploma

Additional Requirements

  • Physical Requirements:Able to lift up to 50 pounds

Manual dexterity to use computer equipment
Climb ladders and stairs to check inventory
Able to certify to and operate a forklift

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Salary: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Inventory control: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Powerpoint: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
  • SyteLine: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Heavy lifting: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Forklift: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Forklift Certification (Preferred)
