The Position

Job Summary

Based at our N America corporate headquarters, Imerys is hiring a VP of Business Planning & Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain

• Lead S&OP (Sales & Operation Planning), Logistics (Truck, Rail, Ocean, Warehousing & Terminals), Inventory management and Supply Chain projects

• Support Imerys segments in their growth strategies

• Increase visibility & efficiency of the North American Supply Chain with improved processes and KPIs

• Support implementation of SAP

• Accelerate the digitization of Supply Chain activities

• Support a talent management strategy to build/maintain a diverse, best-in-class team that achieves its objectives

• Act as key leader of the PM Americas management team

• Responsible for OTS (On Time Shipping) based on commitment to our customers

• Lead transformation of Customer Services within both North & South America

S&OP

• Owns & executes standardized S&OP processes, governance, and ways of working to drive efficient outcomes for our customers

• Maintain a close working relationship between all functions of the business

• Lead and facilitate decision-making process across S&OP forums

• Identifies & communicates potential risks & opportunities arising from planning/S&OP process with relevant counterparts (e.g., Commercial, Quality, Product Development, Business Insights & Analytics) to drive resolution

Logistics

• Responsible for Freight P&L Management

• Responsible for total Logistics spend over $100M

• Manages all North American Logistics activities: Rail, Truck, Ocean (containers/vessels, freight forwarding) and Terminals

• Close collaboration with Purchasing to manage both services and costs of Transportation activities

• Prepare Freight P&L Budget

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree, Master degree (preferred)

• Minimum 10 years’ with experience in Supply Chain management and S&OP

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in various logistics modes is a plus: Truck, Container (including Freight Forwarding management), Rail and Bulk Vessels

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities to drive change in complex, matrixed environments; Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration to drive tangible results

• Demonstrated experience working with executives and demonstrated business outcomes.

• Exceptional talent builder – actively sought out as a coach & mentor
