Program Specialist: Day Program and Supported Employment Services
Wage: $18/hour plus a competitive benefit package.
Schedule: 40 hours a week, 4 days a week and every other weekend. Must be available for scheduling purposes between the hours of 8am-10pm.
Location: Primarily Hopkins and Golden Valley but may need to provide support to individuals in the community throughout the Twin Cities

Job Summary:
As a Vocational Program Specialist, you will support persons with disabilities in a variety of settings, including our Day Program located in Hopkins, MN and various job sites throughout the Twin Cities. Our Program Specialists will implement daily activities that focus on increased independence, skill-building, employment development and exploration of leisure activities throughout the community. Specialists will provide direct care assistance in the areas of personal cares, cleaning, meal assistance, transportation, supervision for safety, and working to build independence by actively encouraging completion of the persons served formal goals. As a Specialist, you will need to be adaptable with your schedule based on the needs of the program during the week, including flexibility when there are occasional changes to your schedule made with minimal notice. Additionally, Specialists are comfortable driving both the company large vans and their vehicles to different job locations and community activities in the Twin Cities.
Requirements:
- To be at least 18 years of age
- Have a vehicle with current car insurance
- Have an acceptable driving record as determined by Meridian Services policy.
- Successful clearance from a DHS background Study
- Experience working with challenging behaviors, autism, and/or mental health is preferred.
