This position is a remote position working from the comfort and convenience of your own home. Must have reliable internet and own computer to use in a private and quiet space where there are no outside interruptions or distractions.

The Medical Receptionist (Receptionist) must be a contentious, self-starter who regularly and independently seeks opportunity for enhancement. The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for all callers and will support the administrative and clerical functions of DermRight Mobile Dermatology while working under the direction of the Director of Operations with the intended goal of delivering an unprecedented patient experience with each encounter as well as exceeding patient satisfaction by performing optimal, efficient and accurate work. The Receptionist's main responsibility will be answering all calls, texts and emails, additionally. they will be involved with a wide range of daily, ongoing, and sporadic projects related to all office functions, including but not limited to, scheduling, patient demographics, patient benefits and eligibility, coordinating services, and medical record keeping. Duties to include but are not limited to answering multiline phone system within specified timeframe, responding to email, text and voicemail, data entry, processing referrals, entering provider schedules, faxing, virtually assisting and supporting the providers while they're in the field, as well as any other general administrative, clerical or customer service tasks in an effort to maintain and enhance DermRight’s overall office efficiencies.

The following duties are included in the Receptionist’s job responsibilities, but they are not limited to:

  • Receive, answer, and triage all inbound calls
  • Respond to general voicemails, texts, and emails
  • Adequately document all actions and interactions, whether direct or indirect, effecting a patient or their chart
  • Process all incoming referrals by tracking, acknowledging, and creating a patient chart in the EHR
  • Coordinate patient appointment’s by contacting them, or their representatives to confirm date and time
  • Review and process requests received such as medical records request or portal access
  • Process and send medical records and/or other specific patient information requests to the approved requesting party
  • Verify all charts are in good order for upcoming visits
  • Contact patient or patient representative/MPOA to introduce DermRight
  • Maintain patient recognition and birthday database
  • Process all information in the Electronic Health Record
  • Assist Providers with tasks to enable them to provide uninterrupted patient care
  • Other duties as assigned or as needed

Qualifications:

  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work autonomously
  • Three years of medical office experience
  • Must possess strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and excel
  • Five years of clerical, customer service and administrative experience
  • Experience working with the geriatric population
  • Ability to understand and handle PHI/HIPAA in the utmost confidential and professional manner
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with outstanding organizational, prioritizing, and multi-tasking skills
  • HS Diploma

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
