POSITION SUMMARY:
The Traveling Maintenance and Painter is responsible for a wide variety of painting duties at various

Prestige centers and communities in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment. The Traveling Maintenance and Painter is responsible for preventative maintenance and repair procedures at assigned communities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Completes interior and exterior painting at assigned communities including drywall repairs, patching, prep, texturing, painting, and touchups as required.
  • Selects premixed paints or prepares paint to match specified color, sheen, and application.
  • Applies all grades of latex and oil-based enamels, stains, lacquers, varnishes and epoxies on both interior and exterior surfaces, and appropriate masking, surface preparation, cleanup, and storage or disposal of materials.
  • Uses, cleans, and maintains airless paint sprayers and masking machines.
  • Responsible for ladders, scaffolding, movable and immovable staging, and various rigging to gain access to difficult areas; moves furniture and equipment as necessary.
  • Removes fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps, and electric switch covers prior to painting and replace all fixtures and furniture once paint is dry. Protects existing finishes and flooring as necessary.
  • Purchases necessary supplies and materials through approved vendors and in line with community budget.
  • Assists with preventive maintenance and completes minor repair work as needed.
  • Adheres to all safety requirements including but not limited to, Infection Control, Personal Protective Equipment, Indoor Air Quality, and Ladder Safety.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience as an industrial/commercial/residential painter required. Journeyman-level experience preferred.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.
