• Current CDL-A Holder (Preferred not Required)
• 1-3 years safety / training support role

Core Responsibilities:

• Plan, administer, and deliver company/DOT mandatory training
• Introduction to specific protocols directed to employees specifically: Drug and Alcohol, Accidents, Incidents, Fire Safety, Hazard Communication (HazCom) / Global Harmonized System (GHS)
• Teach proper Pre-Trip/Post Trip procedures and Hours of Service (HOS), and Fatigued driving
• PeopleNet / QV-21 Electronic Logs Device (ELD) training
• Lead classroom/On-Road instruction for Smith System Driver Improvement Course
• Teach familiarity of multiple commodities, Dump work, Petroleum products, Asphalt, LPG, Anhydrous Ammonia, Nitric Acid, and Aqueous Ammonia, municipal solid waste
• Conduct recurrent training and Safety Meetings as required
• Well versed in Public Speaking
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Conduct forklift training to drivers and maintenance personnel
• Administer on-line training through Infinit-I Computer Based Platform
• Assist in conducting Road Tests for New Hires
• Support HR as needed throughout all company locations
• Assist as needed with Safety Department compliance issues including FMCSA, HAZMAT, OSHA, etc.
• Direct interface with all levels of the organization
• Direct report to the Sr. Training Manager with indirect report to the V.P. of Safety
• Up to 15% overnight travel
• Any other duties as required

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
