POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To meet state mandates to become a certified Journeyman.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Summaries of essential functions of the job include but are not limited to the following:

1. Responsible for set up and operation of all basic Tool Room equipment.
2. Perform hand and machine operations necessary to build, repair, change, or alter molds, dies, jigs, fixtures, gages, and other related Tool Room work.
3. Work from basic blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions.
4. Work within your abilities, troubleshooting through the plant.
5. Work with, and for, other class 1,2 and 3 toolmakers.
6. Keep work area clean. Perform general maintenance of Tool Room on an as needed basis.
7. Perform any other duties or operations deemed necessary by supervisor.
8. Attend job related training pre-approved by supervisor/manager.
9. Perform mold changeovers and preventive maintenance.
10. Must own hand tools and basic inspection tools.
11. Complete all reports and related paperwork.
12. Performs all work in a safe manner following all safety standards and use required safety equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. 1,500 hours or more of pre-apprentice training, consisting of blueprint reading, machine set-up, operation, machine trades math or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.61 - $21.00 per hour

Experience:

• Electrical discharge machining: 1 year (Preferred)
• CNC: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Journeyman License (Preferred)
