Job Summary

Working with Executive Leaders, Product Management and key commercial stakeholders, the Tendering Manager will be responsible for the Regional Commercial Operations function providing both technical and people leadership for Filtration in North America. The position will involve a variety of functions that include project tracking, vendor registration, technical and commercial tender review, arranging quotation submittals, attending customer bid clarification meetings and providing technical leadership. The position is directly responsible for the line management of a number of Applications Engineers.


The role has responsibility for both original equipment and aftermarket success and will ensure the overall functioning of the commercial operations team in North America meets Celeros strategic objectives and criteria for quotation execution.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the coordination of the bid process across the individual products to ensure the following activities occur on time and with high quality from proposal receipt to execution hand-over.
  • Ensuring Celeros applicable brand registration with Engineering Contractors and Global Oil & Gas Companies.
  • Review and evaluate bids, proposals, and vendor agreements in coordination with Supply Chain, Project Management and Manufacturing for acceptability of customer specifications, price, and delivery times.
  • Interpreting Technical & Commercial Inquiry Specifications.
  • Reviewing inquiry documents/specifications received from international clients and selecting suitable product(s) for the application.
  • Arranging preparation of suitably compliant Tender Documents for submittal to clients.
  • Liaising with Sales and Engineering Departments and Global fabrication shops for suitable vendors for bidding process on each project.
  • Attending and negotiating at Client Bid Clarification Meetings for both Technical & Commercial aspects of the contract.
  • Supervising contract management of awarded projects to ensure compliance with contract deadlines.
  • Ensuring the Companies Annual Sales Plan is achieved for the applicable brands in the market.
  • Management and supervision of the Application Engineering team.
  • Travel and other duties which may be reasonably required.
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner aligned to the Celeros Flow Technology Values and ensure all activities comply with both legal and ethical standards.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, Production, Fluid Power Technology).
  • 8 years of related professional experience in the industry. Management experience required.
  • Relevant experience of Pressure Vessels.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
