Job Summary
Technology Operations Lead, AIG Operations (AIG Ops) is responsible for operational support and management across all technology services provided to AIG Ops. This includes AIG Ops specific technology, Infrastructure Services, Application support and enhancement extended by the Business Unit IT functions, and solutions provided by Third-Party partners. Specifically, where AIG Ops has led the deployment of its own solutions the operational support will be directly owned; this will relate to Operational Efficiency and Management solutions.
Careful coordination will be required to ensure support and changes are aligned across all facets of Technology for an uninterrupted service delivery to AIG Ops and partner organizations. This important role will act as the Bridge between AIG Ops and IT.
Gaining maximum efficiency from Technology services and solutions will be a critical measure of success. This will include partnering with the Operations Management and Global Process Owners, to lead AIGs use of Robotics and Machine Learning Technology enablement.
This position directly reports to the CIO, AIG Operations. This role is an important part of the CIO’s Leadership Team, working collaboratively not only with the CIO but with the CIO direct reports that lead individual domains / towers within the AIG Ops organization. Additionally, the role will work closely with the Regional Operations Leaders and delivery organizations to ensure projects and programs are delivered to achieve desired business outcomes.
Major Job Responsibilities
  • Own the Tech roadmap for AIG Operations Technology enablement, across captive and third-party operations
  • Drive software Evaluations with appropriate inclusion of Operations and Technical leaders
  • Drive Technology investments to ensure optimal Operations management value creation through adoption and developing product champions within the Operations functions
  • Partner with Application and Infrastructure teams to coordinate Changes, manage Incidents, and drive appropriate collaborative integrations to maximize the technology features
  • Be the point of contact with Technology providers to ensure adequate support and direction is provided to program/project delivery teams
  • Establish support team to manage all AIG Ops led Technology solutions, including Robotics, Machine Learning, and other tools able to identify, monitor and improve operational efficiency
  • Appropriate IT controls and DR/BCP requirements will be ensured throughout.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Experience with Technology enablement of captive Operations centre’s
  • Experience working with Outsource companies and coordinating successful relationships between AIG IT functions and third-parties
  • Knowledge and experience of Outsourcing Projects and Post-Project partnership management skills
  • Strong IT operational experience across Application and Infrastructure functions
  • Due Diligence activities to structure outsourcing opportunities
  • Support for Process and Technology automation to introduce large scale operational efficiencies
  • Experience with projects focused on operational efficiency technologies such as Machine Learning and Robotic Automation
  • 8+ years’ experience with cross-functional Technology related management experience, preferably in a large, global organization, and demonstrated transformational leadership experience
  • Demonstrates leadership, collaboration, critical thinking, and teamwork in addressing decisions and resolving issues
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role
  • A distinctive blend of business, IT, financial and communication skills. (This is a highly visible position with substantial impact.)
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies and how other enterprises are employing them to drive digital business, and how they may be applied to the enterprise to drive digital business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain IT concepts and technologies to business leaders and business concepts to the PMO staff.
  • Ability to travel when necessary. This would generally be minimal but at times could be up to 25% depending on need and location.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
